Directions to Pincushion Bed and Breakfast from South:
Continue on Hwy 61 through the only stoplight in Grand Marais and continue (east) past stoplight about 1/2 mile to the first left intersection 300 feet past the Chevy Car Dealer. You'll see signs for Gunflint Trail, Resorts and County Road 12. Turn left (north). This portion of the new road (Fall 2004) is a realignment of the first mile of the Gunflint Trail (Co. Rd 12). Follow this new road to nearly a thousand feet in elevation gain for about 3 miles (2.8 mi to be exact). Look for the Pincushion Mtn Bed and Breakfast road sign near the top of the hill (one mile past the Pincushion Mountain Area signs). Our sign has blue reflective lettering. Our address is 968 Gunflint Trail. Turn right (east) on driveway and continue 1800 feet (.2 mi) to the B & B. You are here! Park and come on up to the front door.

For trail users not staying at Pincushion Bed and Breakfast, the Pincushion Trail public trail entrance is 2 miles north of Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail (County Road 12) then east 1/4 mile on County Road 53 to Pincushion Mountain Area trailhead.

Nearest USA airport is Duluth International 117 miles or 2.5 hr drive. Serviced by Northwest Airlines with connections thru Minneapolis.

Minneapolis / St Paul Airport is 272 miles or 5 hour drive.

Thunder Bay, Ontario airport is 90 miles or 1.5 hr away and is serviced by most major Canadian airlines and Northwest Airlines. All mentioned airports have rental cars.
